Gardaí searched the Naas home of Eamonn Tyrrell, a 22-year-old man, on the morning of May 13, 2023, under a search warrant, and reported finding suspected cocaine valued at €350, cash, deal bags and eight tablets of suspected 2C-B. Tyrrell, whose address was given as 23 Patrician Avenue, Naas, was the subject of a drug possession case at Naas District Court, which was reported in January 2024. At that hearing, presided over by Judge Desmond Zaidan, the judge and Garda Sergeant David Hanrahan said they had never heard of 2C-B. The case was adjourned to June 20 to allow time for directions from the Director of Public Prosecutions, and Tyrrell was remanded on continuing bail until it returns to court.
