  Dyonathan Lacerda, 34, a Brazilian national and Deliveroo driver living in Ireland, was arrested after returning to Dublin Airport on a Friday to collect a suitcase that customs and excise had stopped in Terminal 1. Gardai said the suitcase, which arrived a day late on a flight from the Netherlands, contained 11,730 suspected benzodiazepine tablets worth €24,000, and Mr Lacerda told them he had brought them from Sao Paolo for his own use. He was charged at Dublin District Court on Saturday with unlawful importation and possession of the tablets and with having them for the purpose of sale or supply, and he has not yet indicated a plea. A garda objected to bail, but he was remanded in custody with consent to bail, to be released once a €10,000 independent surety is approved and his bond is lodged, and he will appear again next week.
