On 5 May 2024, gardaí seized approximately €692,000 worth of controlled drugs and €57,000 in cash from a residential premises in Coolock, Dublin 17, and arrested two men and a woman. Dylan Pennie, 34, was charged with possession of €575,000 worth of drugs and money laundering of €52,320, while the other two suspects, a man and a woman in their 60s, were released without charge. On 15 May 2025, Pennie pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court and was sentenced to four years with two years suspended, effectively two years in prison.
