On 16 October 2024, a collision occurred at Great Oak, Callan, County Kilkenny, after a car driven by Dylan Butlers lost control on a bend and crossed into the opposite lane. Gardaí arrested him on suspicion of drink driving after a breath test showed 43mcg of alcohol per 100mls of breath. He pleaded guilty at Kilkenny District Court to drink driving, dangerous driving and driving without insurance. On 18 December 2024, Judge Geraldine Carthy fined him €250 and disqualified him for one year for drink driving, and fined him €250 and disqualified him for two years for dangerous driving, with a further €250 fine for having no insurance.
