  Dominic Mallinson, a 38-year-old man with an address in Bradford, England, was involved in a case heard in Louth involving a woman he was in a relationship with. He was arrested in April 2021 and denied the allegations, and was returned to Ireland on a European Arrest Warrant. He pleaded guilty at Dundalk Circuit Court to coercive control between 11 November 2019 and 7 February 2021 and to a separate charge of assault causing harm on 2 August 2020. On 11 June 2026 Judge Dara Hayes sentenced him to concurrent three-year terms, with the final 12 months suspended on a good behaviour bond, with Probation Service supervision for 12 months after release and no contact with the victim or her family.
