Dmytro Stashkevych, a 29-year-old man, was involved in a drink-driving incident at Kilcruttin in Tullamore, County Offaly, on 5 November 2024. Sergeant Brendan Kearns told Tullamore District Court that he did not indicate at a roundabout and swerved on the road, and that his alcohol reading was 228 milligrammes per 100 millilitres of blood. He pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol in his blood, and a prosecution for careless driving was withdrawn. Judge Andrew Cody imposed a three-year driving ban, postponed until 1 December, and a €100 fine, as reported on 17 September 2026.
