Cases
latest first- Arrest ordered for breach of injunction at Parkgate House, Dublin Contempt of court (breach of injunction) · Co. Dublin
Members of a group calling itself the Revolutionary Housing League allegedly illegally occupied Parkgate House in Dublin 8 from late August 2022, using the building to house homeless people and hold events. The building's owners, Davy Platform ICAV and Ruirside Developments, which plans to develop the site into 519 rental units, sought a High Court injunction against Seán Doyle, Alan Hall, Diarmuid Breatnach and all persons in occupation. Ms Justice Roberts granted the injunction on 15 September 2022, but the court heard on 20 September that the order had been flouted, with an event of over 200 people held at the premises. On 22 September 2022, Mr Justice Heslin found a flagrant breach of the injunction and directed that all persons in breach be arrested by the Garda and brought before the High Court, with the possibility of committal to Mountjoy Prison.
