Destiny Isijola, a 24-year-old man of Riverside Crescent, Newry Road, Dundalk, was charged with assault and threatening, abusive or insulting behaviour over an incident alleged to have happened on March 4th 2024, in which he allegedly grabbed a garda by the testicles during a public order incident. The court heard he had no previous convictions, and a report on the first appearance was published on March 13th 2026 at Dundalk District Court. The defence said he apologised to the gardaí who attended. The judge adjourned the case to April 15th for a Probation Service community service report and wanted €250 paid to the victim, and no sentence has been imposed.
