    Desmond Perry, a 72-year-old man from Rathcoole, was charged with harassing a male financial advisor at a business premises in Dublin over a period from May 17, 2023, to August 8, 2025. He appeared before Judge Peter White at Dublin District Court on August 8, 2025, where he made no reply when charged under Section 10 of the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act. He was granted bail with a €200 bond, prohibited from any contact with the alleged injured party, and ordered to remove a van bearing derogatory comments within 24 hours. The DPP authorised the case to be dealt with at District Court level if Perry pleads guilty, otherwise he faces trial in the Circuit Court. His plea hearing is set for September 19, 2025.
