  Deniss Afromejevs of Aghnagore, Cloondara, County Longford, was caught on 18 February 2026 driving without insurance and without a licence on the Dublin Road in Longford, after gardaí observed the car being driven in a suspicious manner, and the vehicle was seized. He pleaded guilty at Longford District Court, where the court heard he had 14 previous convictions and had been disqualified from driving before, and he was released on his own bond of €250. In April 2026 Judge Bernadette Owens sentenced him to four months in prison and a 10-year driving disqualification.
