On 18 May 2022, Offaly Drugs Unit and Tullamore Detective Unit stopped a vehicle on Church Road, Tullamore, County Offaly, and seized €20,000 worth of cannabis. Two people were arrested and held at Tullamore Garda Station. Deividas Rimeikis, a 25-year-old man from Tullamore, is accused of possessing cannabis for sale or supply. A book of evidence was served at Tullamore District Court in June 2023, and the case was sent forward for trial at Tullamore Circuit Court on 5 December 2023.
