Declan Wall, a man in his 70s, was found unresponsive outside a premises in Kilgarvan, Co Kerry, in the early hours of 30 July 2025 in unexplained circumstances, and was pronounced dead at University Hospital Tralee hours later. The State Pathologist and county coroner were informed and a postmortem was carried out, but the cause of death has not been released for operational reasons. Gardaí detained a man in his 60s, who is not named in the sources, at a station in Kerry under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, as reported on 19 December 2025.
