  Dean Martin, a man whose age is not stated, is alleged to have committed non-fatal strangulation, assault causing harm and theft against a person at a Kilkenny City hotel on 11 May 2025. On 12 May 2026 he appeared before Kilkenny District Court, was charged with the three offences and was presented with a book of evidence. He was granted bail on conditions that he stay away from the complainant and stay out of Kilkenny except for court appearances.
