Dean Kelly, 31, and Harpreet Gosal, 32, an Indian man, were charged with two counts of deception and one count of attempting to deceive after allegedly defrauding Beaverstown, Stackstown and Powerscourt golf clubs in Dublin and Co Wicklow of thousands of euros worth of equipment between 28 March and 5 April 2024. Gardaí stopped the men in a Range Rover in Bray, Co Wicklow, and recovered phones connected to the alleged frauds. They appeared at Dublin District Court on 9 April 2024, where Judge Marie Quirke denied them bail and remanded them in custody to appear at Cloverhill District Court, where they have not yet indicated a plea.
