  Dayla Durnin, a 24-year-old woman, claims she was attacked and beaten in the Drogheda area of County Louth and that she fled to Ipswich, Suffolk, for her own safety. The unnamed person she says attacked her is not her partner and not the father of her eight-year-old son, Kyran Durnin, who was declared missing by gardai in August 2024. Tusla is assisting gardai with their enquiries into Kyran's disappearance, and it is suspected he may have been murdered up to two years ago. Officers have neither confirmed nor denied whether a complaint was made regarding the alleged assault.
