On the night of 18 February 2022, two women were allegedly assaulted at a home in Longford and a mobile phone was allegedly stolen. Pamela Stafford and David Stafford, both with an address on Ardnacassa Avenue, Ballinalee Road, Longford, were charged with assaulting the two women and stealing the phone. At a hearing reported in April 2024 before Judge Patricia Cronin, David Stafford was convicted and sentenced to five months in prison, to run concurrently with a sentence he was already serving. Sentencing for Pamela Stafford was adjourned, and she is due to reappear at Longford District Court on 10 September 2024, when a probation report will be furnished to the court.

On January 16, 2024, he pleaded guilty at Longford Circuit Court, before Judge Kenneth Connolly, to producing an article, burglary and section two assault, and was remanded in custody. He is due to be sentenced at Longford Circuit Court on February 21.
