  On 28 March 2021 at Elaghmore, Bundoran, Co Donegal, neighbours called gardaí after David Moran, 35, reportedly went to the home of a 64-year-old woman with a kitchen knife and demanded to be let in. Gardaí arrived at 3.30pm and found Moran with another man, with a large knife in his back pocket. Moran was charged with five offences, including threatening to damage a vehicle and producing a knife to intimidate another person in a dispute. On 18 March 2024, Judge John Aylmer at Donegal Circuit Court reduced Moran's four-year terms to two years and eight months, concurrent, and suspended the sentence, the latest development in the case.
