Gardaí allege that David McKenna, a 29-year-old man, ransacked offices at Kildare town Community School on the Dunmurray Road, Kildare, on 17 May 2017. Gardaí allege he was linked to the burglary through a sample of his blood. On 15 February 2024 gardaí appeared before Judge Desmond Zaidan at Naas District Court, which accepted jurisdiction and adjourned the case to 14 March for election. McKenna is remanded in custody, and he is serving a six-month sentence for separate matters, due for release at the end of March.
