    David Kiernan, a 23-year-old man from Ballinamuck, Co Longford, was found with €100 worth of cocaine at 2 Mill Street, Drumlish, on 3 July 2021. He pleaded guilty to drugs possession at Longford court. Judge John Brennan gave him a conditional order under the Probation Act to pay €300 by 26 July 2022, after which the case would be struck out. If the terms are not met, he would be convicted and fined €500, and a destruction order for the drugs is pending.
