  David Geoghegan, a 51-year-old man from Skerries Rock, Skerries, in north Dublin, is accused of possessing firearms and ammunition in suspicious circumstances at his home on a date in June 2021. The alleged haul includes an AK-47, an Uzi sub machine gun, pistols, rifles and a shotgun, along with several types of ammunition. He was arrested and charged with 19 offences under Section 27(A) of the Firearms Act, plus unlawful possession under Section 2, and appeared at Balbriggan District Court before Judge John Aylmer, as reported on 10 September 2024. He was granted bail on €1,000 cash with surrender of his passport and weekly signing at Balbriggan Garda Station, and the case was adjourned to a date in November, when directions from the Director of Public Prosecutions are expected.
