latest first- Aontú councillor's home window smashed in Trim, Co Meath Criminal damage (smashed window) · Co. Meath
On Sunday 10 August 2025, a front window at the Trim, County Meath, home of Aontú councillor Dave Boyne was found smashed. Boyne, who lives there with his wife and five children, said it was the third incident at the home, after his jeep was covered in eggs and someone defecated on the property. He links the incidents to his opposition to a proposed IPAS centre in Trim and believes extreme left-wing groups are responsible. He reported the matter to An Garda Síochána, and a gript.ie report of 13 August 2025 mentions no arrest or charge.
