  Two women, Daniela Covaciu, 23, and Sarah Carpaci, 25, were charged with making gain or causing loss by deception after being observed altering tags on cream throws at Dunnes Stores, Forte Shopping Centre, Letterkenny, on 4 February 2023. The women, who had moved from Romania, appeared before Letterkenny District Court on 4 February 2024 and both pleaded guilty. The judge indicated the Probation Act would apply if each woman paid €200 to Little Blue Heroes, with a default order of a €200 fine imposed. The case was adjourned to 25 March 2024.
