Daniel Oleskow, a 47-year-old Polish man resident in Ireland since 2007, was arrested on 3 April 2018 at his shop Mediatech on Brews Hill, Navan, County Meath, after Gardaí found 586 unauthorised Sky TV decoders and other equipment representing a loss of €746,760 to Sky. He was charged with copyright breaches and, after initially denying the offences, admitted selling the boxes in a subsequent interview.
