  Michael and Daniel Gibson, twin brothers both aged 30, are charged under the Child Pornography Act with allegedly having images of children engaging in sexual acts on mobile phones seized by gardaí. The alleged possession occurred on 3 November 2015 at an address on Lower Main Street in Letterkenny, Co Donegal. The cases arose from a search warrant and were linked by Garda Sergeant Jim Collins. The brothers appeared in Letterkenny District Court on 16 February 2022, where Judge Deirdre Gearty accepted jurisdiction and set aside a special two-day sitting due to the volume of technical evidence. Both cases are to be defended, and the cases were adjourned until 20 April 2022 for mention to finalise a hearing date.
