A man, 36, was remanded on continuing bail at Naas District Court over a suspected cocaine possession and other charges. Damian Szatkowksi, of Suncroft, The Curragh, was accused of having a suspected cocaine haul worth around €5,000 found on his person at Blackberry Lane, Newbridge, on 19 February 2021. He was also charged with driving without insurance or a licence and possessing an unknown amount of cannabis on the Dublin Road on 24 November 2022. The case was heard before Judge Michéle Finan on 2 February 2023, and the judge remanded him on continuing bail until 22 June 2023 to allow time for DPP directions to be instructed.
