A 15-year-old boy alleged he was falsely imprisoned for five minutes and assaulted at Sundrive Road Garda Station in south Dublin on 20 April 2021 while signing on as a bail requirement. Garda Stephen Conran, 40, and Garda Sergeant Damian Kirwan, 56, were charged with false imprisonment, with Kirwan also facing assault causing harm. The pair appeared at Dublin District Court in November 2022, and a non-jury trial was set for 18 May 2023.
