Craig Coyle (37), of Holly Court, Ballybrack, Dublin, threatened on 23 September 2023 to publish intimate images of his former partner, a woman, online, days after they broke up that month. Between September and December 2023 he sent her hundreds of degrading and abusive emails, and he pleaded guilty to two trespass charges at her home on 23 December 2023 and 19 January 2024. He pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court, and in November 2024 sentencing was set for February 2025 pending a psychological report. On 17 February 2025 he was given a three-year sentence with the final 18 months suspended, and a permanent no-contact order was made with the woman; reports describe him as jailed for 18 months.
