    Conor Kirwan, a 27-year-old man, pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to robbing a student of €30 while impersonating an undercover garda at Eden Quay in September 2020, stealing 11 pieces of corned beef at Supervalu Finglas in June 2020, and producing a syringe at Dame Street in January 2021 after stealing three legs of lamb from a supermarket and threatening a security guard. He was identified from CCTV footage in both the Eden Quay and Dame Street incidents, and a theft count from Dunnes Stores on George's Street was taken into account. On 14 February 2022, Judge Melanie Greally sentenced him to six years' imprisonment with the final two years suspended on strict conditions, citing his homelessness and drug addiction as contributing factors.
