On 25 September 2025, gardaí on patrol saw Connie Mullane, a woman, driving on the wrong side of the N21 at Killaheen, near Rathkeale, County Limerick, at about 8.30pm, and stopped her car. She appeared before Newcastle West District Court, was convicted of driving on the wrong side of a national road, and was fined €400 with six months to pay. The court heard there was no collision and that she has four previous convictions, one in the UK.
