    Colm Devlin, 47, a County Down man from Newry, was arrested after failing a roadside breath test when a Roads Policing Unit garda observed his Mercedes van driving erratically on the N52 at Navan, Dundalk, shortly after 8pm on 12 January 2021. He was charged with drink driving at Lower Faughart, Dundalk, and contested the charge at Dundalk District Court. His barrister argued there was no evidence the breath test device had the correct setting for a full licence holder. Judge Eirinn McKiernan dismissed the case in February 2022.
