    Jamie Tighe-Ennis, a 24-year-old man, was shot twice in the head by a gunman while walking home from a pub in Coolock, Dublin, in the early hours of 28 October 2017. Ciara Mahony, a 46-year-old woman, was arrested in October 2018 and released without charge, then extradited from Birmingham, UK, in 2025. She pleaded guilty to facilitating a criminal organisation in the commission of the murder after the DPP decided to prosecute in November 2024. On 19 October 2026, Dublin Circuit Criminal Court jailed her for six years and three months.
