Vandals used a golf club to smash every window in the car of 66-year-old Christy Gorman at approximately 12:15am on 3 August 2022 in the Farnagh area of Longford town, beside sheltered housing units for elderly people. Gorman, a pensioner from Lismacaffrey, said the car is his only means of transport as he has two new knees and a hip replacement. Gardaí attended the scene and the matter was reported as criminal damage. No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing.
