Christopher Wallace (55), of Kileely, Limerick, stored cocaine at his home in March 2024 for a local drug gang to pay off a money lender's loan taken to cover gambling debts. Gardaí searched the property on foot of a search warrant obtained after receiving confidential information, and recovered 1kg of cocaine with an estimated street value of €60,000 from a shed. Wallace pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine worth €60,000 and to possessing drugs worth more than €13,000 for sale or supply. On 7 November 2025 at Limerick Circuit Criminal Court, Judge Colin Daly reduced a five-year headline sentence to three years and fully suspended it.
