Revenue officers allegedly found 204kg of cannabis resin, valued at €1,224,240, in a freight unit that had come off a ferry at Rosslare Europort, Co. Wexford, on Thursday 27 November 2025. Gardaí arrested a man in his 40s after the seizure, and the Irish Times identifies him as Christopher Tobin, a 41-year-old Welsh national. On Monday 1 December 2025 he was charged at Wexford District Court under sections 3 and 15 of the Misuse of Drugs Act with possession of drugs and possession for sale or supply, made no reply, and was remanded in custody with legal aid granted. He is next due to appear before Wexford District Court on the following Monday.
