  Christopher O'Shea, a 21-year-old man, was arrested at a premises in Ferrybank, Co Kilkenny, after a Garda Divisional Drugs Unit operation that followed a search of room 309 at the Marina Hotel in Waterford. Gardaí found four blocks of cocaine and a smaller bag of cocaine, valued at €51,730, in a suitcase with drug-making equipment. He was charged with sale or supply of drugs. At Kilkenny Circuit Court he pleaded guilty, and the case was adjourned to the November sessions for an updated Probation Report, with him released on continuing bail.
