    On 24 April 2024, a male pedestrian was struck by a reversing car on William Street, Tullamore, County Offaly, and his hip was injured. The driver, Christopher Lynam, a 19-year-old man, was charged with careless driving. Lynam was later due before Tullamore District Court, where the court heard the facts of the collision. At a recent sitting, reported on 16 January 2025, Judge Cody convicted Lynam and fined him €500.
