  Christopher Lane, a 32-year-old man of Dromscarra, Kiskeam, Co Cork, was the subject of a drugs search at his former home in Curracraigue, Banteer, Co Cork, on 11 November 2022, when gardaí seized cannabis herb, cannabis resin, cocaine and cash. He was arrested again in Banteer on 16 June 2023 while on bail, and a third time at his home in Kiskeam on 30 January 2025 while on High Court bail. He was charged with possession of drugs for sale and supply on three occasions. On 15 July 2025 at Cork Circuit Criminal Court he was jailed for seven and a half years, after the judge departed from the 10-year mandatory minimum and imposed eight and a half years with the final year suspended.
