Cheryl Robinson, a 49-year-old woman from Rathdrum, County Wicklow, who worked as an accountant, pleaded guilty to stealing €28,261 from Foxrock Golf Club between October 2018 and July 2020 by redirecting creditor payments into her own bank account. A club treasurer became suspicious after a wine supplier was not paid. Her guilty plea to theft under Section 4 of the Fraud and Theft Offences Act was reported in October 2025 at the Circuit Criminal Court. On 16 April 2026 at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court, Judge Orla Crowe imposed a three-year sentence with the final 18 months suspended, and Robinson must make herself available to the Probation Service for 12 months after release, which is the latest development.
