    Chengwen Guo, a Chinese man aged 41 (one report says 43) who owned Murray Mobile phone shops in Dublin, was linked to a money-laundering operation tied to an international €10 million iPhone fraud. Gardaí seized three sums of cash in January 2022 and searched all eight Murray Mobile shops on 10 January 2022. Guo was charged with three counts of money laundering and appeared at Dublin District Court on 14 September 2024, where bail was refused and he was remanded in custody to Cloverhill District Court on 18 September. He later pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to theft and money-laundering offences committed between 2021 and 2022, and in November 2025 he was jailed for seven years and nine months.
