latest first- Charlie Coyle jailed for seven months for handling stolen trailer in Donegal Handling stolen goods (possession of stolen property) · Co. Donegal
Charlie Coyle, 63, of Bough, Cootehill in Cavan, was found in possession of a stolen agricultural trailer worth €4,000 in Letterkenny, Co Donegal. The trailer belonged to David Connors Machinery and Trailers in Milford, and the date of the incident is not given. Coyle pleaded guilty at Letterkenny District Court to being found in possession of the trailer knowing it was stolen, while his solicitor said he did not know it had been stolen. On 6 December 2024, Judge Eiteain Cunningham gave him credit for his early guilty plea and sentenced him to seven months in prison, and the court was told he is already serving eight years for cocaine possession and is not due for release until 2027.
