    Catherine Boland, a 38-year-old woman, pleaded guilty to assault causing harm after an incident at College Manor, Dundalk, on 18 September 2020, when a group of 15 to 20 people walked towards the victim's home. The defence said Boland reacted after believing her son had been chased with a knife. On 16 June 2023, Judge Dara Hayes at Dundalk Circuit Court sentenced Boland to 48 hours community service.
