  Cahir O'Higgins, a 49-year-old criminal defence solicitor, is accused of stealing €400 from Spanish client Raul Sanz Quilis on 30 July 2016 during a district court sitting in Dublin. The prosecution alleges O'Higgins made three ATM withdrawals totalling €600 from the client's account at a Londis shop on Parkgate Street and kept €400. In December 2017 he provided notes to gardaí that the prosecution say contained incorrect information. A jury at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court returned unanimous guilty verdicts on all five counts on 15 November 2024. On 25 November 2024, Judge Martin Nolan sentenced O'Higgins to 27 months in prison, backdated to 21 October and running concurrently with an existing assault sentence.

  Cahir O'Higgins, a 47-year-old Irish man, engaged in a prolonged campaign of harassment against former employee Stephen O'Mahony between 25 June 2020 and 11 February 2021, culminating in an assault at Wolfe Tone Quay, Dublin, in which he punched O'Mahony in the face, breaking his nose. O'Higgins pleaded guilty to assault causing harm and harassment at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court in March 2022. He was sentenced to 16 months in jail on 22 July 2024, with the final 16 months of a 32-month sentence suspended on conditions including no contact with O'Mahony. On 15 November 2024, O'Higgins was found guilty of stealing €400 and four counts of attempting to pervert the course of justice.
