  A Vietnamese man, Bui Na Uy, was charged with possession of an article with the intention of causing injury at the Kilkenny Tourist Hostel and possession of knives or other articles at James Street, Kilkenny, on 2 October 2026. Both charges are under the Firearms and Offensive Weapons Act.
