    William O'Donnell, 24, kidnapped his former wife Brigid Reilly on 20 September 2021, driving her from Naas in County Kildare to Enniskillen and back over 24 hours while threatening to kill her. The couple had married in 2016 and had a difficult and violent relationship. O'Donnell pleaded guilty to false imprisonment and threatening to kill, and was sentenced to five years in prison on 7 July 2022. He had 66 previous convictions and was on bail for other offences at the time of the incident.
