  An altercation between three women took place outside Midoc on Dublin Road, Longford, at 3.20am on 1 November 2024, in which Sharon Flynn (39) retrieved a walking stick from her car and Bridget Flynn (42) was involved in trying to hit the woman. Both women pleaded guilty to affray at the local district court, where the judge noted that Bridget Flynn had six previous convictions and Sharon Flynn had none. The woman who was struck made no complaint. The judge directed the Probation Service to carry out a restorative justice report and the pair were remanded on continuing bail, with the case adjourned to May 12.
