Laois, is accused of having cocaine for sale or supply at Aldi, Main Street, Portarlington, on either 3 or 30 August 2024, with the drugs valued at €5,200. On 1 October 2024 he appeared before Portlaoise District Court, where legal aid was granted and the case was adjourned to 9 December. In March 2025 gardaí requested two more months for the investigation, which was awaiting a certificate of analysis, and the defence asked that the matter be marked peremptory against the state. The judge marked the matter peremptory and adjourned it to Portlaoise District Court on 26 May 2025.
