  On Sunday 5 April 2026, Gardaí from the Dundalk Crime and Drugs Units searched a domestic residence in Hackballscross, Co. Louth, under warrant as part of Operation Tara. They seized suspected cocaine and cannabis herb worth about €8,300, cash, and silver bars. A man in his 30s, named in reports as Brendan Duffy, aged 39, was arrested at the scene and charged with having cannabis and cocaine for sale or supply and unlawful possession.
