Brandon Lulendo, a 19-year-old man, was charged with robbery, assault and criminal damage after allegedly punching a teenage boy multiple times in the head and taking a Canada Goose jacket worth €900 in Dublin city centre. The boy had arranged to meet the suspect through a mobile app to sell the jacket, and a struggle on the Luas line saw the suspect punch the victim once more before leaving. A previous attempted robbery charge was withdrawn by the State. Lulendo appeared at Dublin District Court on 18 October 2022, where Judge Bryan Smyth accepted jurisdiction and the case was adjourned to 8 November.
