  On 20 August 2024, Blake Tobin, 41, was arrested in Letterkenny, Co Donegal, after being drunk and shouting on the Port Road, and he refused to leave when gardaí asked him to. He was charged and released, but later that day gardaí were called to a McDonald's where a man was sleeping and refusing to leave, and Tobin was reportedly making threats against the outlet when he was arrested again. Tobin, whose solicitor described him as a Dublin native, appeared at Letterkenny District Court, where the court heard of many previous public order convictions and that he had stopped his medication and was drinking heavily, and he had been in custody since 3 March 2025. On 27 March 2025, Judge Eiteain Cunningham sentenced him to four weeks in prison, backdated to 3 March 2025.
