  • DNA confirms Blackpool body is missing Dublin woman Death (unexplained circumstances) · Co. Dublin

Bernadette Connolly, a 45-year-old woman, was last seen on 7 January 2022 when she was dropped by a taxi at the carpark of the Shoreline Hotel in Donabate, Dublin, and walked towards Donabate Beach. Gardaí released CCTV stills in January 2022 showing her walking towards Donabate Strand and confirmed she was wearing a black Nike training top, black Nike leggings, black trainers with a white sole, and a black woolly hat with a black bobble. A body was discovered on the coastline in Blackpool, UK, on 4 February 2022, and DNA analysis by UK police confirmed it was Bernadette. The missing person appeal was subsequently stood down, and her daughter Jade said the family was grateful to have her back so they could lay her to rest.
